As a result, Nationwide will no longer be renewing the non-standard automobile policies, offering opportunities for people who are currently insured to renew elsewhere. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Layman&#8217;s Terms<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non-standard auto insurance is another industry term for high-risk insurance. This type of coverage refers to individuals who have had numerous accidents or driving violations or have not been insured continuously for five years or longer. Many insurance providers choose to deny coverage to these types of drivers, forcing them to go with companies not streamlined or well-known, which usually means companies with rates that go through the roof.
